AMETEK(NYSE: AME) today announced that it has acquired Pacific Design Technologies(PDT), a leading provider of core thermal management solutions.
PDT designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of custom liquid cooling systems and components used in a wide range of contemporary and next-generation commercial aerospace, defense and space platforms. PDT is privately owned and headquartered in Gorata, California. The company, which has annual sales of about $40 million, was acquired for about $125 million.

PDT will join AMETEK Electromechanical Equipment Group (EMG), a differentiated provider of thermal management systems, automation and engineering solutions.
