Lloyd Instruments' new single-column universal testing machine provides ultra-high speed testing as well as flexibility, reliability and high accuracy of test results. The machine can provide results up to 5 kN for all material testing applications, supporting test types such as tensile, compression, bending, friction, tear, peel, insert/pull out, creep/relaxation, etc.

The new LS5HS test machine's test and return speed of 2032 mm/min (80 in. / min) improves productivity and saves valuable production time as well as quality testing capabilities to optimize productivity. Because the LS5HS universal test machine is designed to automate workflow, a robot can be connected to the machine to further speed up the testing process. In addition, automated repeat tests can be run over hours rather than days, helping eliminate operator errors, improve operator safety and reduce costs.

The LS5HS universal test machine has a stroke of 800 mm and crosshead speed range of 0.01 to 2032 mm/min. Its 150 mm throat depth provides a large working area and a +/ -0.5 weighing accuracy down to 1% of the weighing cell value provides a high dynamic range, reducing the number of weighing cells required to cover the force range.

The universal test machine can be used alone or controlled through a console. For more advanced tests, NEXYGENPlus software can be added and test results can be automatically uploaded for easy analysis.

To meet the growing demand for manufacturing automation, NEXYGENPlus provides powerful utilities for system integration, including automatic sample handling, online testing, monitoring of parameters from other sensors such as thermocouples and strain gauges, and custom user interfaces.

Microsoft Office integration allows seamless transfer of data to Excel and Word using custom or predefined templates. And test results can be easily sent to colleagues. Data can be further exported to LIMS, SPC or other data management systems.
